Mechanical, electrical and plumbing system design for renovation of a 26,000 SF hangar with support spaces including offices, conference room, and storage rooms. The mechanical system included gas fired radiant heating and high volume low speed ceiling fans in the hangars. A gas fired rooftop unit was used to condition the support spaces. Plumbing design included the expansion and code compliance repair of an existing recirculating emergency tempered water loop to serve four emergency shower and eyewash units. The design also included the reconfiguration and pressure upgrade of the existing natural gas system. Electrical design included replacement of the existing metal halide high bay lights with high lumen output LED low bay lights to meet the foot candle levels required in the hangars.
